Iceland

Iceland in cold light, from the Snæfellsnes peninsula to the southeast coast. Kirkjufell rises above a frozen waterfall beneath streaking clouds, and floating ice rests on a still glacier lagoon. At the heart of the album is Vestrahorn at Stokksnes: jagged peaks above drifting mist, grass-topped black dunes, wet sand at dusk and long-exposure waves washing over pebbles. Throughout, dark volcanic ground meets ice, mist and skies that shift from violet to gold.
